Specialising in local produce, this fine dinning establishment has a reputation for fine food, winner of the national award of "Catering Pub of The Year 2004" a warm and friendly atmosphere awaits you, withopen fires, comfy sofas, daily papers, a great choice of daily changing real ales, fine wines from around the globe, this establishment offers fresh fish delivered daily from Brixham and all the produce is from the surrounding farms and vegetables are grown in the next village.

Since Alexnader and Alison took over The Tollgate in 1999 they have transformed it into one of the most revered eating houses around.

Just seven miles form the centre of the Roman City of Bath and just one mile from the Georgian Town of Bradford on Avon, set in two acres of country side in the rural village of Holt, the Tollgate has its friendly ghost and its own flock of free range chickens. Plenty to see and do while you stay, The national trust gardens "The Courts" are in the village of Holt and nearby we also have "Great Chalfield Manor" which is also National Trust, two miles away we have The NationalTrust Village of Lacock which is deffinately worth a day out.
